Nearly decade ago, I created and founded Fairy Godmother, a wedding and event company. As an event planner, I have the pleasure of attending almost every vendor appointment with our brides, sometimes meeting with hundreds of vendors in a wedding season. I’ve been in the position to observe and learn how each vendor, from photographers to florist to DJs, packages and presents their business to this valuable client.
Industry professionals have taken notice of my unique exposure and have frequently asked for input and suggestions on ways to improve their sales consultations and client care. They were hungry for specific ideas and tactics that would improve how they run their business and specifically, how to get clients they lost. I came to realize there was a need to take my years of experience to guide fellow wedding and event partners. I want to share the bride’s perspective, help them fill in any gaps they are missing, and mentor them to be confident and successful in their business.
Specifically, I have a passion for mentoring new, small business owners. Sometimes we need someone to believe in us before we can believe in ourselves. It’s an amazing experience to see a business grow and flourish and know I was part of their success. I love to cheer them on even years after we initially met.
I ran and managed one of the most successful and sought-after venues in town. I have been a go-to person when new venues open. I have been contracted confidentially to assist many venue owners to help get their venue off the ground.
